Day 4

Well today is day 4 of my 6 week challenge.  I have walked everyday with the girls!  Sweat Pea actually has walked herself most of them instead of riding in the stroller.  I am sure helping with her sleeping better.  Think the fresh air has really been helping our Lady Bug as she has slept through the night the last 2 nights!  I am hoping this might be a new trend but will not hold my breath until it happens for a nice long stretch!  Thankfully we have the Angel Care monitor for her otherwise I would be worried she stopped breathing or something.

Yesterday was the Hubby's 29th Birthday!!  Next year he will hit the big 30!  I better get planning something for that as I want to make it really special for him.  We spent the day with friends of mine from high school and her little girl.  Traveling in our small hicksville area to Fawn Doe Rosa a deer petting farm.

The kids always get a kick out seeing deer and animals so tame they come up and eat out of your hand.  This is our second time visiting this place.  The first was Labor Day weekend last year for Sweet Pea's birthday.  While we were there last year a sheep took our bag of food and tried to eat it all bag included.  We also saw a goat give birth to triples!  That was the coolest thing this city girl has seen!

This year on our trip the kids got to feed many deer.  They were everywhere and came right up to us all for food.  The few more wild animals they have like the bear and otter were just laying there sleeping.  Once we got to the farm animals again things started to get exciting!  We of course saw the sheep again.  Put some food on the tray of the stroller to they would get close to Lady Bug so she could touch them.  This was good in theory until the same sheep that ate our bag last year tried to eat Lady Bug's hat right off her poor little head!!  Tug Tug Tug went the sheep and Shake Shake Shake went poor Lady Bug's head!  Thankfully the hat, sheep, or Lady Bug were not harmed in this!

Further down the trail we saw a donkey and ponies.  They are always nice to pet but we knew better than to even let the girls try to feed these as we knew it would not end well.  So we walked along to the pigs and of course Sweet Pea made her pig sound which is really just her trying to snort and wrinkle her nose.  It sure if a good laugh though if you need one!  After we ask Sweet Pea all the sound the animals she knows make we move on the the goats.  Not really sure what sound they made but she decided it was Moo.  Alright can't argue with you if I don't know what they sound like either.  So as we snapping pictures and feeding the goats in a split second maybe even less a big goat takes in Sweet Pea's food and her hand along with it!  Sure it was only a few milliseconds long but to a mommy those thing seem like forever.  We got her hand out only a scratch and a little red.  Scared the crap out of the girl more than anything I am sure.

After all the excited of everyone being "eaten" by the animals we did find a cow for Sweet Pea.  She of course was so excited as they go MOO.  I think everyone in the park could hear that little girl "talking" to the cow.  We finished our visit and headed to lunch.

It sure was an exciting birthday for the Hubby to say the least!  One I am sure no one will soon forget!!
